The Earest Hat is a cosy, textured hat with a wide folded brim for maximal ear warmth. With moss stitch and simple cable columns inspired by fields of wheat, it’s a fun, intuitive knit, worked in the round from the bottom up.

Yarn requirements are approximate and will depend on the yarn chosen. Sample shown uses Raincloud & Sage Homestead in Size 1.

Gauge: 19 sts and 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in charted pattern in the round on larger needles, after blocking

Needles
4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle (or size required to obtain correct gauge), 60 cm / 24” length and double-pointed needles or longer circular needle for magic loop, if desired
4 mm / US 6 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” length (or needle 1 size smaller than main needle)
