A knitting pattern for a fun, warm winter hat with a geometric stranded colourwork motif. Worked in two colours with an optional pom-pom, the hat features a tubular cast-on for a nice stretchy edge.

Sizes: to fit a teen/large child (1), small adult (2) and large adult (3).

Measurements 
Finished circumference: 42 (46, 50) cm / 16.5 (18, 19.5)” 
Height (excluding pom pom): 22 (23, 25) cm / 8.5 (9, 9.75)”

Yarn: Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted (112 metres / 123 yards per 50 g skein) 
MC (shown in 1301 Storm Cloud): 30 (40, 50) g / 1 (1.5, 2) oz 
CC (shown in 1311 Rusted Roof): 10 (10, 10) g / 0.5 (0.5, 0.5) oz (plus approx. 10 g / 0.5 oz for optional pom-pom)

Note: yarn requirements are approximate.

Gauge: 21 sts and 24 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in colourwork pattern in the round on 4.5 mm needles, after blocking

Needles:
4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” length (or size required to obtain correct gauge) 
4.5 mm / US 7 double-pointed needles or longer circular needle for magic loop, if desired (or size required to obtain correct gauge) 
4 mm / US 6 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” length

Notions: Scrap yarn, stitch markers, darning needle for sewing in ends. Optional: pom-pom maker or card to make pom-pom
