These socks are worked from the toe up, with a pattern of intertwining stitches inspired by twisted plant fibres. Instructions are given for using the magic loop method on circular needles. The foot and leg length are customisable. 

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)

Measurements:
Finished foot and leg circumference: 17.5 (20, 22.5, 25.5, 28) cm / 7 (8, 9, 10.25, 11.25)”Intended to be worn with 2–5 cm / 1–2” negative ease. 

To pick your size, measure your foot circumference and subtract 2–5 cm / 1–2” from that number according to the fit you prefer. 

Yarn: Annabel Williams Romney Pure Sock (330 metres / 361 yards per 100 g skein)

1 skein – exact quantity will depend on foot and leg length

The sample pair shown used one full skein of the specified yarn in Size 2 with a total foot length of 23 cm / 9” and a total leg length of 25 cm / 9.75”. It is shown with 3 cm / 1.25” negative ease in the foot circumference and 1.5 cm / 0.5” negative ease in the foot length.

Gauge: 30 sts and 40 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette and charted pattern in the round, after blocking

Needles:
2 mm / US 0 circular needle, 80 cm / 32” length (or size required to obtain correct gauge)

Notions: Darning needle.
