This cosy cowl is a simple, extra-quick knit in one skein of super chunky yarn. Diagonal sections of seed stitch and ribbing are separated with a border of twisted stitches. Ideal for a really hefty yarn – try it out in bulky hand-spun too! Gaderian means ‘to bring together’ in Old English, and refers to the way the twisted stitches meet to make a point.

Measurements:
Finished circumference:
74 cm / 29”
Height: 19 cm / 7.5”

Yarn: Garthenor Number 6 (75 metres / 82 yards per 100 g skein)
(Shown in Silver Birch): 1 skein

Pattern is written to use up one full skein of the specified yarn.

Needles: 8 mm / US 11 circular needle (or size required to obtain correct gauge), 60 cm / 24” length

Gauge: 9 sts and 13.5 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in seed stitch in the round on 8 mm / US 11 needles, after blocking.

Notions: Stitch marker, cable needle, large darning needle for sewing in ends.
