Handmade English laburnum wooden buttons
English laburnum
These beautiful wooden buttons are handmade by woodworker Tom Dyson in his Southampton studio using English laburnum wood, sourced from locally felled trees in the South of England, UK. Tom expertly hand-turns each wooden button, showcasing the character and natural beauty of the wood they are crafted from.
Available in 15 mm / 0.6" and 20 mm / 0.78" sizes, these laburnum buttons come in sets of six, presented on a hand-stitched card.
The English laburnum wood is rich and dark with warm, golden undertones that look almost like tiger's eye. Each button is carefully sanded and polished to a smooth, finish so that they slide easily through your carefully crafted buttonholes without snagging. As wood is a natural product, the grain pattern will vary by set so each button is unique.
