Naturally coloured wool tops for spinning, combining white and brown British wool for a gentle, warm oatmeal colour when spun up.

Breeds: Wensleydale, Teeswater, Bluefaced Leicester and moorit Shetland.

Approx. 100g.

This spinning fibre is the Feather blend – a blend of British Breeds that I designed to combine lustre and a little bit of halo. This blend is perfectly suited to smooth, worsted style spinning and will spin beautifully into a fine, strong yarn.

100% British wool

This wool top is custom blended for me at a small family-run mill in Gloucestershire. The fibres are British breeds wool from farms across the UK, in a range of beautiful sheepy colours.

The fibres I use are completely natural, with no plastic fibers or superwash process involved, so it will biodegrade naturally over time, along with anything you create from it.

Hand-dyed

My hand-dyed spinning fibre is dyed in small batches by me from my studio/home in Wiltshire, UK. While the dyes used are synthetic, for repeatability and colour-fastness, they are always non toxic.

I’m committed to sustainability, so I reuse dye water as many times as possible and make sure no dye run-off enters the water system.

Sustainable packaging

These hand-dyed wool tops are a 100% natural fibre, so all orders are shipped in biodegradable, plastic-free packaging.

Everything contained in a parcel from Marina Skua is recyclable and home-compostable, so what has come from the earth can be harmlessly returned to it.
