Hand-made wooden buttons
These beautiful wooden buttons are hand-made by woodworker Tom Dyson in his Southampton studio in the south of England, UK. Tom hand-turns these buttons from laburnum and yew wood, sourced from locally felled trees.
The buttons are 15 mm / 0.6", and come in sets of six on a hand-stitched card.
The laburnum buttons are a rich, dark wood that looks almost like tiger's eye. The yew buttons are a light, warm colour like runny honey.
Each set of buttons shows the natural beauty of the wood they're made from, sanded and polished to a smooth finish so they glide through your carefully crafted buttonholes without snagging. As wood is a natural product, the grain pattern will vary by set so each button is unique.
