Marina is wearing a colourwork yoke jumper and holding a basket of naturally coloured fibres for spinning

Episode 52 of the Marina Skua podcast – Late summer vibes, British wool breeds, natural colours and new knit designs

I'm continuing my spinning kick with various fibres and hand-spun yarns – naturally coloured British breeds wool, sludgy green hand-spun and a bit of hand-processed locally grown flax. There are also a couple of new knitting designs I've been keeping quiet up until now.

Show notes:

I'm wearing Opula. The yarn is Marina Skua Mendip 4-Ply; I used Teal and Beech on the Stormy base, but Cloudy is very similar.

Kits for the Pelagic cardigan are available from The Fibre Company.

The Annual Issue 3 with my Hayward Mitts pattern is available for pre-order from John Arbon Textiles.

The batt in my hand-spun project is from Sealy MacWheely. The two lots of combed tops are from John Arbon Textiles: Devonia in Sage Sprig and a limited edition called Nasturtium.

The British wool breeds I've been sampling with and the new naturally coloured blend are from Wingham Wool Work – their custom blending service is great!

The flax I'm working with is from Flaxland.
