Clay (Cloudy) Mendip DK - Hand-dyed British wool yarn
Clay (Cloudy)
Mendip DK is a bouncy, airy lambswool yarn spun in the UK, sourced from a single flock of Shetland-cross sheep that graze atop the Mendip Hills in Somerset, South-West England. The wool is taken from the lambs' first shearing, meaning it's a lovely soft fibre for a relatively rustic yarn.
This springy, woollen-spun British wool yarn is hand-dyed in semi-solid colours from my studio in Wiltshire.
Clay is a pale apricot pink that recalls terracotta pots and roof tiles.
