The book I read from and use for natural dyeing is Violetta Thurstan's Use of Vegetable Dyes.

I believe most of the lichen I'm using in this episode is parmotrema perlatum, foraged from Savernake Forest.

The opening shots were taken from the lower part of Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, the closing shots in the woods near where I live on the outskirts of Bath.
